Program Overview:

PATHWAYS is a four-month virtual program designed to help undergraduate undocumented students who are passionate about pursuing careers in healthcare. The program offers career exploration and focuses on various aspects such as professional development, academic enhancement, advocacy, establishing support networks, and introduction to entrepreneurship. Accepted participants will have the opportunity to engage in online events with their peers to share resources, exchange knowledge, and receive support within a safe and inclusive environment. Moreover, the program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to navigate the application process for their desired graduate or professional health programs in the future. Community building is core to the program, and participants are encouraged to participate in advocacy projects promoting access to healthcare and education for the undocumented community.

Eligibility:

•Must identify as undocumented, DACAmented or under TPS residing in the United States
•Must be a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior attending a 4-year university or a community college

•Must reside in the United States

•Must be interested in pursuing a health profession degree in the future

•Must meet participation requirements, which include:

• Attending ALL required virtual sessions via Zoom (carefully review all dates provided below)
• Completing and submitting assignments and program surveys by deadline provided
• Engaging with scholars, PHD staff, guest speakers, etc.
• Must have a google email to access Google Classrooms and Google Groups
• In the event of being accepted, it is essential to make yourself available to arrange a one-on-one contract meeting for the purpose of reviewing and signing a participation contract, thereby securing participation in the program.
