📣Calling all Latinx artists, cooperatives, street medics, neighborhood farmers, mutual aid groups, food distributors, AND MORE…if you have a project that focuses on✅ increasing collective autonomy✅ community buenvivir✅ and the self-governance of our Latinx gente…this is for you! ⬇️🔥Mijente is inviting Latinx change-makers to apply for La Vida Local Initiative which includes up to $5,000 to support the construction and/or sustainability of projects that work ‘Sin el Estado’.✊🏽 In addition to the funds, Mijente will support with mentoring and assistance with organizational digital tools and more. 🔧🐜

We invite proposals that focus on projects and campaigns that aim to develop collective autonomy, el Buenvivir, and self-governance structures. These projects must align with Mijente's Principles of Unity and should seek to build power and well-being in our Latinx communities without the state. Criteria:

• The application should provide a description of the work you intend to do, how much you are requesting and how you plan to spend the money. This can be provided in short paragraphs or bullet points, just make sure that what you are proposing is easily and clearly understood. You can also submit video(s) that speak to the project, by sharing the link(s) in the box for question 2.
• The proposed project description should tend to one or more of the following areas:
  • Generating sustainability for your local community
  • Contributing to community welfare or to the principles of el Buenvivir
  • Providing services necessary to the welfare of the people that the state does not provide or provides negligently
  • Exercising participatory democracy

Solicitamos propuestas centradas en proyectos y campañas que tengan como objetivo desarrollar la autonomía colectiva, el Buenvivir y las estructuras de autogobierno. Estos proyectos deben alinearse con los Principios de Unidad de Mijente y deben tratar de construir poder y bienestar en nuestras comunidades Latinx sin el Estado. Para más información, lee aquí.

Criterio:

• La solicitud debe proporcionar una descripción del trabajo que se pretende hacer, cuánto solicitas y cómo piensas gastar el dinero. Puedes escribir unos párrafos cortos o viñetas (tablas), solo asegúrate de que lo que propones se entienda fácil y claramente. También puedes compartir vídeos que hablen del proyecto, compartiendo los enlaces en el recuadro de la pregunta 2.
• La descripción del proyecto propuesto debe tender a una o más de las siguientes áreas:
  • Generar sostenibilidad para tu comunidad local
  • Contribuir al bienestar comunitario o a los principios del Buenvivir
  • Proveer servicios necesarios para el bienestar de la gente que el estado no provee o provee negligentemente
  • Ejercer la democracia participativa
